in addition to the wedding itself, we hope you can join us for welcome drinks and a farewell brunch! here are details for each of the major events of the weekend.
SATURDAY, 09.02.17, 8:30 P.M.
WELCOME DRINKS
details: join us the evening before the wedding to welcome everyone to washington and catch up with those who are in town. we'll have the upstairs of ghibellina reserved and drinks available from a private bar.
attire: casual.
SUNDAY, 09.03.17, 5:00 P.M.
CEREMONY & RECEPTION
ceremony: it will be short and sweet -- personal, rather than traditional. we'll have some folks sitting, and some folks standing. the venue has a beautiful deck, so (weather permitting) we'll be outside.
reception: expect heavy hors d'oeuvres, a tasty buffet, desserts, and an open bar. don't expect assigned tables, but there will be plenty of places to sit, both inside and outside. dancing will be encouraged but not required!
attire: "summer cocktail." we'd like everyone to look nice, but it will probably be warm so we want folks to be comfortable. for suits, think cotton or linen (or khakis). jackets and ties are optional. for dresses, any length is fine. wear whatever shoes make you happy. if you have a jumpsuit you've been saving for a special occasion, now's the time to break it out.
